Thailand/Vietnam/Cambodia Travel Advice

Hello,

I'm planning on spending the first 4 weeks (ish) of August travelling through Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, starting and finishing in Bangkok. My budget will be roughly £1500 once I'm there. I've always gone with an organised tour when I've been travelling before so I'm not really sure where to start. I was hoping for some general advice on what is worth seeing and what to miss, realistically in the time and budget I have, and some general tips for the solo traveller!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

i want to apply for a 60 day tourist visa for thailand at the thai consulate in Kota Bharu (Malaysia) next week. can you tell me what do i have to pay for that and how long will it take to get it (from the day of application).

Well first off, drop two of those countries. 4 weeks isn't enough for all 3.

My advice is that 4 weeks is not enough time for three countries. One month would just allow you to make a dent in Thailand. However:

Bangkok,
Ayutthaya (ancient ruins), north of Bangkok,
head down south to Krabi/Trang for the beache experience,
Siem Reap, Cambo, for Angkor Wat,
Phnom Penh,
Ho Chi Minh, Viet,
Hue, Viet,
Hanoi, Viet,

1500 would be enough to live comfortably. Buy your travel gear after you arrive, much cheaper. Eat a little street food, buy some tshirts and pants in the PP markets.
